MLP 2016: Myuna Farm, Doveton

Well, what a day it was – with a surprise visit from SBS World News! The event was opened by Cr Rosario from City of Casey, pictured here with Manuel Moreno, Language Advisor from the Spanish Embassy, and Diana Gomez-Fullaway from the MLP organising team.  This collage gives but a brief insight into the fun had by children and adults alike, with languages demonstrated in performances and craft activities. Unfortunately, I do not have pictures for everything!

It is estimated that besides the numerous program participants and helpers a few hundred people attended throughout the day, many of whom stayed for the grand multilingual piñata finale.

Thanks again to everyone who supported the event, and in doing so, contributing to the sustainability of the community farm.

Over 150 people came to the Pavilion, despite the very stormy weather, and helped to make a great day.
